Scholar Profile
Dr. Zektzer earned his MSc and PhD in Applied Physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He did postdoctoral research at the Joint Quantum Institute, a program shared by the University of Maryland and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
At Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Zektzer’s lab is pioneering hybrid atomic photonic chips for quantum communication, computation, and measurement using hot vapor technology. Currently, quantum devices require ultra-low temperatures and bulky setups that are only available in a lab setting. His work could pave the way for room‑temperature chip-scale devices, aligning him with global efforts to bring quantum technologies into practical use.
