The Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program is proud to welcome its ninth cohort of scholars for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This impressive group, 23 leaders in their respective STEM fields from the US, Canada and Israel, will focus on research, make new discoveries, advance their careers and create a cycle of excellence between the US, Canada and Israel.
We are grateful to the Selection Committee, who guides the application process, encourages diversity and helps govern the selection of our scholars. The Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program is grateful for the strategic partnership with Israel’s Council for Higher Education, and many universities in the US and Israel.
The Zuckerman Faculty Scholars program funds leading Israeli researchers and supports the purchase and construction of laboratories and specialized equipment. The program provides vital resources to Israeli universities, allowing them to compete with top North American institutions for the most promising candidates.
The Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholars Program attracts high-achieving postdoctoral scholars from premier universities in the United States and Canada to do research at one of eight Israeli universities. Once they complete their research, many Zuckerman postdocs are expected to accept faculty positions at top North American universities, weaving a network of academic collaboration and goodwill that will greatly benefit US-Israeli scientific cooperation.
The Zuckerman Israeli Postdoctoral Scholars Program provides additional support for up to two years to Israeli PhD graduates who have been accepted to a postdoctoral program with a stipend at an American university. Candidates are encouraged to apply to a university that offers more specialized training than they would find in Israel. Upon completion of the program, scholars are expected to return to the Israeli campuses from which they earned their doctorates and gain a faculty position at Israeli Universities.
