Dr. Alex Brodsky, Zuckerman Faculty Scholar at Ben-Gurion University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, presented his research on a conference hosted by Ben-Gurion’s Earthquakes Mechanics Research Center. The conference showcased advances and solutions to earthquake challenges in structural design and geomechanics.
Dr. Brodsky’s Structure Lab has become an essential testing facility in Israel, which experiences substantial seismic activity and terrorism threats. He hopes his research will impact the robustness of structures and infrastructures and lead to better code requirements to reduce casualties and economic losses.
