Igal Berenshtein

Zuckerman Faculty Scholar Igal Berenshtein, head of the Marine Ecology and Ocean Health Lab in The Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences at  the University of Haifa, received a grant to conduct research on larval recruitment in Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) along Israel’s Mediterranean coast. The prestigious award was given to Prof. Berenshtein by Yad Hanadiv and Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority for his
research  to uncover mechanisms behind the settlement and survival of young marine life in MPAs in order to improve conservation.
