Moran Dvela-Levitt

Congratulations to Zuckerman Faculty Scholar Moran Dvela-Levitt and her team on winning first place in the Israeli Society for Microscopy’s  prestigious Micrograph Competition. The winning image, “Strawberry Field Forever,” was created in Dr. Dvela-Levitt’s lab by Narkis Haimovich Arbeli. Resembling a field of ripe red strawberries, the image shows  different mutations in the renin protein of live kidney cells using confocal microscopy and dual fluorescent labeling. Color coded with green Golgi structures and red nuclei, the image transforms a sophisticated cell biology experiment into a striking visual composition, highlighting both the scientific depth and artistic power of advanced imaging research.
