Congratulations to Zuckerman Faculty Scholar Neta Shlezinger on being named a recipient of the 2024 Krill Prize for Excellence in Scientific Research.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
The award recognizes her significant contributions in researching pathogenic fungi; understanding the mechanisms enabling them to overcome the body’s immune system; and developing innovative methods to defend against them. Dr. Shlezinger’s research is expected to lead to the development of novel antifungal drugs and diagnostic tools that will impact public health, agriculture, and wildlife.
