Shira Landau-Levi Joins Technion’s Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, opens new lab

Congratulations to Shira Landau-Levi, Zuckerman-CHE Israeli Woman Postdoctoral Scholar (Alumna), on joining theTechnion’s Faculty of Biomedical Engineering as Assistant Professor.
Her Landau-Levi lab will develop and build advanced organ-on-a-chip systems to study how human tissues communicate under healthy and disease conditions, with a special emphasis on cardiac and multi-organ interactions. A central part of her research will integrate immune components, including tissue-resident and iPSC-derived macrophages, to better understand how immune–vascular–cardiac crosstalk shapes tissue function and contributes to disease.
